Holding Steady in Times of Change

Change has a way of pressing on all of our edges. In a recent session, I sat with someone who is moving through big shifts — in her work, her relationships, and her sense of place in the world. Fear is close to the surface for her right now, and every feeling she shared was valid.

What struck me in our conversation, though, was how fear can also become an opportunity. When we’re able to pause and look through the eyes of Soul, a few constants shine through no matter what’s happening in the outer world:

Source is the Source of our abundance. What we truly need cannot be cut off or taken away.

We are never alone. Because we can never be separate from Source, we are always supported — often in ways that arrive quietly, just when we need them.

Our Soul is always in perfect unfoldment. From this higher vantage point, even difficulty becomes part of the path of safety, learning, and growth.

These truths don’t erase the human experience of fear, grief, or uncertainty. But they do give us something to hold steady in, even when the waves of change are high.

The Practice of Holding Steady

Holding steady doesn’t mean bypassing, suppressing, or pretending everything is fine. It means choosing — again and again — to lift our awareness above the weeds of a situation. To orient toward the light that is always present, even when the personality wants to collapse into the shadows of fear.

This takes practice. Some days it feels easy; others, not so much. But each time we choose to steady ourselves in Soul’s truth, we strengthen that muscle.

And when we are working at a higher level of consciousness, this steadiness becomes more than personal practice — it becomes responsibility. We are asked to hold the light not just for ourselves, but in how we meet others.

Meeting Fear with Compassion

In times of rapid shift, it’s easy to get frustrated with others who are caught in distortion — in fear, separation, or judgment. Yet the deeper truth is that the “other” is also us. How we meet them is how we are treating ourselves.

If we can remember this, even briefly, compassion arises more naturally. We may not agree with another’s perspective. We may need boundaries. But if we can meet them with kindness, we strengthen the field of light for all.

In the Perfection of Unfoldment

The times we’re in are moving quickly. Structures are shifting, and with that, opportunities for expansion are everywhere. Yes, the human experience of change often stirs fear. And yet, from the Soul’s vantage point, we are always safe, always unfolding in perfection, always supported by Source.

So the next time fear surfaces — yours or another’s — pause. Remember the constants. Hold steady. And choose to meet the moment with light.

✨ Practice:

Close your eyes, take one steady breath, and whisper:

“I am safe in Soul’s unfoldment. I am always supported by Source.”
